Flight Plan Corruption - EGT - 02-18-2026 Hi, Yesterday I flew the RNAV GPS (Z) RW32 at KSBS, recreating an accident flight that was a recent topic of discussion. The approach and transition loaded fine, and I proceeded to fly. Everything went fine initially, and I started down after the FAF in coupled AP (LNAV+V). Having experienced the exact situation the accident flight had, I disconnected the AP and made a terrain avoidance maneuver. I flew the rest of the approach by hand, and landed. Upon passing the MAP, the GTN correctly detected this and asked me what to do, presenting two options. I ignored it and landed. After stopping on the runway, I pressed the button to UNSUSP the approach. At this moment, the GTN froze, then started to stutter badly and run very slowly. All screen inputs were delayed by 5 seconds. I tried to clear the flight plan but this just resulted in the waypoint names being deleted. I still had a flightplan but it was full of dashes (--------) for all data. Unable to do anything with it, I ended up quitting the sim and restarting. SEPERATE QUESTION: does the GTN drive the glideslope indicator? RE: Flight Plan Corruption - adminOwner2 - 02-19-2026 Hello, Which version of the TDS GTNXi XPlane are you running? Can you try replicating this and let us know how it works the second time? If you are able to replicate the bug, then please provide us with screenshots. Yes, the GTNXi drives the glideslope (glidepath) only during an LPV approach when in GPS mode, so not during an ILS/VLOC mode. RE: Flight Plan Corruption - EGT - 02-20-2026 I will try to do this sometime today (Friday). |
