Installation to the undesired version of XPlane 12 - flyaopa - 07-08-2026
Hi, I have two Xplane environments - one in Steam, the other on my C:\X-Plane 12 directory. TDS GTNXi was successfully installed to the steam version. That's not what I want and it seems unusual to not be given the chance to declare the X-Plane directory for the install.
There doesn't appear to be an obvious way of directing the installation to my non-Steam version of X-Plane 12. I am certain this has come up and that I'm a rube doof for not having discovered the forum thread that solves this. Please bear with me and point me to a solution so that I can run the 750 on my primary installation.

Hello Bob,
Indeed, at this time we do not offer a selection of multiple X-Plane (same version number: 11/12) installations; this feature is work in progress.
The TDS GPS Manager installs the TDS GTNXi in the first X-Plane install, such as:
X-Plane 12\Resources\plugins\TDSGTNXi
You can manually copy the folder to thee secondary location.

The product installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\X-Plane 12\Resources\plugins\TDSGTNXi
I manually copied that directory to C:\X-Plane 12\Resources\plugins\TDSGTNXi as you described and ran that (secondary?) version of X-Plane 12.
During the load sequence a Themida DLL error occurs (see below) followed by a CTD. Repeatable. Deleting the copied TDSGTNXi directory results in a successful load, without your plugin.
Themida
"An Error has ocurred while loading imports. Wrong DLL present."
(note misspelled "occured" in the error message) Hitting the OK button results in a CTD.
I'm able to run just fine in the Steam installation. The product seems great so far.
