GTNXi not displaying in MSFS24

I recently purchased and installed the TDS GTNXi for MSFS. The installation went smoothly and I installed the additional files into the MSFS community folder, but when I start a flight with the C172 basic, the original gps / nav units appear. The GNS 650Xi will run and integrate on a separate screen, but I can’t get the 650Xi to display in the virtual cockpit. I hope there is an easy resolution for this.
