Trouble getting TDS GTNXi to turn on in MSFS2024

As a first step in troubleshooting the issue, please try this:
With MSFS closed, start the TDS GTNXi Pro from the desktop shortcut and click on the GTN750Xi button. Does the screen light up?

Which antivirus are you using?

I attempted to upgrade my from basic TDS GTNXi to TDS GTNXi Pro.  After purchasing the Pro upgrade and engaging the executable file, the upgrade does not appear to have completed as I received an error message.  

"Error Installing: 
TDSGTNXiFlightSimEXE.exe
SimConnect.dll 
TDSGTNXiFlightSimManual.pdf"  

What must I do to get this to install properly and work?  

Just using the basic antivius app that comes with Windows 11.
