How to change X-Plane install path?
#1
How can I change the install path for X-Plane? I have two installs, one WHQL and one BETA, and typically fly with the BETA. The TDS installer defaults to wrong folder, and I see no way to change it.

If I simply drag and drop the TDS folder from plugins into the beta install, X-Plane crashes.

Hello,

At this moment the TDS GPS Manager installs the TDS GTNXi in the first X-Plane 11/12 install location, as found:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\x-plane_install_12.txt (or x-plane_install_11.txt)

where %username% is your username

You can flip the install paths. This is the first step, so please try this and let us know.

The second and quickest solution is to manually copy the Plugins folder. If there is a CTD, then it must be analyzed, as this should not be a cause of the TDS GTNXi.

Thanks, this solved the issue and have been able to install the GTN in all the compatible planes.
