MSFS minimizes to task tray...
#1
Hello!

We are using both Air Manager and TDS GTNXi with MSFS 2024 to try to manage several realsimgear avionics.  We almost has this all working, when for some reason, MSFS minimizes to the task tray when the pop-out manager is auto launched, and does not come back.

Microsoft support declines to try to resolve the issue, as they say it is caused by third-party software.

We are truly stuck.

Can anybody help?

Thanks,
Mike

Hello Mike,

This is the TDS Sim Software support forum for the TDS GTNXi Pro, we are not sure how we can help from our side. Exactly what is the issue pertaining to the TDS GTNXi Pro?

You could try modifying the EXE.xml of MSFS 2024 in order to eliminate the TDS GTNXi as a possible source, but at TDS we do not modify the MSFS 2024 window state via our software.

Thank you for the reply!

I'm not sure IF there is an issue pertaining to the TDS GTNXi Pro.  Only that Microsoft suggests that the problem we're experiencing is likely from a third-party software, of which we are running two of them.

So I thought I'd reach out to see if this problem was known to the community first, before I uninstall or disable anything.

From our end, this can be easily excluded, please refer to the EXE.xml file.
This file is used to auto-start third party applications on MSFS startup, which is why you see the TDS banner when MSFS is starting up.

There is a special section for TDS and most likely you will find other sections for other software which are set to auto start.

You can either temporarily disable (move/rename) the file, or disable individual sections.
For MSFS 2024 purchased from Windows Store, you can find the file here:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

where %username% is your username.

This way you can exclude the TDS GTNXi Pro as a cause of the issue.
