Settings in windowed mode not working
#1
Hello,

I am using X-Plane 12.4 in windowed mode rather than fullscreen mode, to be able to use lossless scaling with a popped out window on a second screen.
However, when X-Plane runs in windowed mode, it seems not to be possible to change any settings.
The settings window will open, but is not clickasble unfortunately (I can scroll with mouse sometimes, but thats all). Even cannot close it anymore.

Any hints would be appreciated, thanks

Hello,

Can you please disable all other programs/plugins such as losseless scaling and try again?

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks, seems when I close lossless scaling (deactivating not sufficient, need to Exit), then settings come up and movable window/clickable even in windowed simulator mode

Hello,

Thank you for letting us know. In this case, the bug should be reported to them, as the settings window is a regular window, so something must be interfering from their end for the mouse clicks/position to go through.

Hi, thank you.

I guess guys from lossless scaling would not be too interested in this specific case :-)
What do you mean with normal window? From the looks it seems more like a regular windows-window - not like a native x-plane plugin window.
If this is the case (close to a "pop-out"/window native one), this would explain why not really compatible with lossless etc.

Its not too bad since this workaround exists (temp close lossless), but maybe this could still be adressed in future versions if above is somewhat true?

Cheers

Yes, this is a regular windows-window. We will consider your request, but no promises.
