not following autopilot in msfs2024

I hve been trying to get the sim to flow commands from the 750xi and in several different aircraft it stops tracking after the iaf and wont follow the gs, at times there is no gs, I hit approach and the approach is not followed. FYI the plane is in the approriate mode for rnav or ils , thats not confused , It just does not work and so far i tried it on several different fs stock airplanes, please tell me how to fix it
