Good morning,
I recently moved from msfs20, to msfs24. I'm flying the A2A Comanche and when i try to bring up metars for any airport i get the message "no metar data available". i had this functionality in fs20 with no issues. The 750 works for me in every other way, the only issue is the missing metar data.
I did some research online, and made sure of the following things.
I have the GTN Pro
I am using "live" weather in msfs24
I have the required Navigraph unlimited subscription.
In the Navigraph Hub, i have TDS GTN750 updated in the 'Outside the Sim Products tab"
I went into the TDS manager and made sure I am up to date in TDS GTNXi Pro Navigraph Navdata
I am also up to date with the TDS GPS Manager version
For the Garmin trainer, i am running the second to latest version
When i first logged in after doing research yesterday, i pulled the trainer up and I was able to get metar data on KJFK, i then checked the in sim GTN in the Comanche, and got the "no metar data" message. I proceeded to update the TDS GTNXi Pro Navigraph Navdata (it was the only thing not up to date, apart from the trainer). Then i went back into the trainer and tried to pull KJFK metar, this time i got the "no metar data available". When i went into the Comanche in sim, i got the same message. I tried a few different major airports with the same result. As i mentioned before, everything else works as expected with the GTN, the only issue i have is the lack of metar data.
Anyway, any other ideas i can try to use to resolve this?
Thnx much and appreciate the help in advance
Richard
Been doing some more research and i realized, i failed to mention i am using addon linker. Since all the other funtionality was normal, i didn't think the metar issue could be connected to Addon Linker. tonight i will take a look at that angle and make sure my install folder structure is correct as per there instructions.
1. Enable the Integration Gauge
The TDS GTNXi requires a specific component called tds-gtnxi-gauge to be present and active in your MSFS Community folder for certain data features to function correctly.
Check Addon Linker: Ensure the tds-gtnxi-gauge folder is correctly linked and active (indicated by a green light in Addon Linker).
