TDS Stopped working in the latest Xplane beta
#1
Tried to set different power sources (Always On, Avionics bus, Bus#1, Bus#2) with Thranda Wilga and Piper Seneca. Screens are blank and pop-outs do not appear like the TDS units were not powered.
Plugin is loaded: "Loaded: C:\X-Plane 12/Resources/plugins/TDSGTNXi/64/win.xpl (tds.gtnxi.plugin)."

Hello,

Can you please provide us with the TDS log files from My Documents:
TDSGTNXPlaneLog.txt
TDSGTNXi750Unit1Log.txt

As well as to let us know the antivirus used.

Hello,

Thank you, as a first step, can you attempt a reinstall of the TDS GTNXi XPlane (not the PC Trainer)?

First showed a window "Error installing: TDSROARService.exe", but later said "Succesfully installed".
Still doesn't work

In case there is an error we suggest this:

Reboot the PC, then re-run the TDS GPS Manager as an administrator (right click on the exe), then attempt a new reinstall.
At this stage we only require the TDS log files, not thee X-Plane Log.txt

When running Manager as an administrator I got no option to reinstall TDSGTNXi. Only Trainers are available.

OK, I think I found the soulution: set whole Xplane directory as an exception for scanning and sonar fn. Then reinstalled TDS as the normal user, not the admin. Run Thranda Wilga an now TS works.

The question is: why it has happened???

Hello,

If the trainers are available, yet they are not installed, the TDS GPS Manager will not allow installation for the TDS GTNXI XPlane, until the prerequisites are installed.
We are not exactly sure what happened in your instance, but there could be a cause of the antivirus removing the TDS GTNXI XPlane plugin, in which case an exclusion must be set, as you have done.

I encountered same problem as Jaro001, who said:
" Tried to set different power sources (Always On, Avionics bus, Bus#1, Bus#2) with Thranda Wilga and Piper Seneca. Screens are blank and pop-outs do not appear like the TDS units were not powered.
Plugin is loaded: "Loaded: C:\X-Plane 12/Resources/plugins/TDSGTNXi/64/win.xpl (tds.gtnxi.plugin)."

However in my case noticed it after installing update to Thranda's F33A Bonanza.
I use the TDS GTNXi in several other XP12 aircraft (Aerobask Lancair Legacy, AFL B350, Thranda V35B Bonanza and DHC2 Beaver)
Discovered same symptom in all of them.  The Legacy GTNXi had been working well when last used two days earlier.
Suspected common problem so decided to check installation
Ran TDS GPS Manager (v1.0.1.8), it detected Garmin Trainer and Garmin GTNXi were already installed (as I expected)
Attempted reinstall of TDS GTNXI v1.0.1.5.
But got message:
Error Installing TDSROARService.exe.
It was followed by message "Successfully Installed"

What does TDSROARService.exe do?
Is the error message significant and explain why my GTNs stopped working?
AFAIK there were no changes in my AV software on my side, but could it be messing up both plugin execution or the TDS reinstallation?
