No Glideslope indicator on LPV approach?
#1
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Using the TDS GTNXI 750/650...
While flying a GPS LPV approach, I don't see the Glideslope indicator show up in the HSI.
The autopilot flies the approach just fine and tracks the glideslope to the runway from the FAF, but the glide slope indicator is not displayed.
I've tried various TDS settings and can't seem to correct this.
This might be OK if only flying with the autopilot, but I also want to hand-fly approaches following the GS indicator. (or needle).
I'm currently mainly using the Black Square Bonanza Professional, but have also tried this using the Piper Dakota with the 750/650.
Am I missing a setting? Or perhaps using the 750/650 incorrectly during the approach?
Any support is appreciated.

Hello,

No, this should not happen. Please provide us with a few screenshots as well as the exact approach that you are flying in the TDS GTNXi Pro.

OK... Ugh... The plot thickens... What I didn't say in the original support note is that I'm using two Android tablets as touchscreens for the 750 and the 650, using the Spacedesk program to configure the external tablets.

I reconfigured the 750 and 650 to display back on the Bonanza's dash on the main monitor (to make screenshot captures easier), I found that the Glideslope indicator on the HSI DOES come to life during the approach.  I flew the approach a few times, and it behaved as expected. Then I put the 750 and 650 back on the Android tablets and the glideslope indicator again did NOT show up on the HSI again.

One more test... I flew the approach with the 750 & 650 on my 2nd display, a 27" non-touch monitor, and the glideslope indicator did NOT work... same as when on the Android tablets.

So... it seems the glideslope fail anomaly is when the 750 & 650 are run externally from the dash of the aircraft.

My setup is a 32" monitor as the main #1 display using the digital port on the graphics card.
I use a  27" monitor as display #2 using the HDMI port on the graphics card. (I use this display for Navigraph).
I then use the Spacedesk program via USB to run the Android touch screen tablets as displays #3 and #4 for the 750 and 650.

Strangely, the TDS GTNxi Pro seems to run just fine on external displays EXCEPT the Glideslope indicator that fails as I've described.
Do you have any ideas? Can I provide further information or testing that might help to troubleshoot?

I somehow doubt the particular LPV approach matters, but I have been testing by doing the same short flight from KHEF to KHWY, selecting the RNAV LPS approach to rwy 15 using CSN as a transition.

Hello,

How are you moving the TDS GTNXi externally? Are you removing the "tds-gtnxi-gauge" from the MSFS Community folder? We need to see the actual aircraft configuration, as regardless of the configuration, the TDS GTNXi must be selected as the GPS choice, even with black screens.

Can you please provide us with screenshots, as asked earlier?

The Glideslope indicator now works in external mode.  I'm a dumb-ass.
Yes, I had moved the  "tds-gtnxi-gauge" in or out of the community folder for the internal or external GTNXI configuration.

What I didn't do was verify that the TDS GTNXI was set in the Black Squares Bonanza's EFB. I remember setting that initially, but apparently, it reverts back to the PMS50 GTN setting when flights are restarted. Should it revert back to PMS50 GTN by default and must be reset each time?
When set to the TDS GTNXI is the blank 750/650 cockpit screen always supposed to be this bright orange? (See screenshot) or am I missing something else?
(It would be nice to change the bright orange screen as it can be distracting.)
I'm new to setting all this up... I appreciate your support and patience.

Hello,

No! Unfortunately by removing the "tds-gtnxi-gauge" from the MSFS Community folder will provide unexpected results, we strongly discourage this. We recommend utilizing the TDS GPS Manager to reinstall the TDS GTNXi Pro, so the folder (and WASM file) to be added back.

After this you can utilize thee MSFS Pop-out Panel Manager application to move the actual GTNXi gauges:
